The part of a house clearance that catches people out is almost never the house.
We cleared a property in Perranarworthal, a few miles outside Truro, and the job took in the loft, the garage and the garden store as well as every room indoors. The outbuildings were not an afterthought. They were priced at the quote stage, on the visit, before anyone agreed to anything.
That is the whole point. Outbuildings are where the surprise volume lives. A garage that looks half empty from the door holds more than a bedroom, because nothing in it was ever sorted, only put there. Pricing the loft and the garage on the day rather than at the quote is the difference between a firm price and a revised one, and a revised price is how clearance companies get their reputation.
Inside the house
The kitchen and dining area was the bulk of it. Under the table, the rugs and the boxes there was a bare subfloor, and the fitted units stayed exactly where they were. A clearance empties a property, it does not strip it. Anything fitted stays unless you specifically ask us to take it out, and if you do, we price that separately so you can see what it costs.
Everything was sorted on site as we loaded: items for reuse, materials for recycling, and the smaller share that genuinely needed licensed disposal. The value recovered from anything resaleable came off the clearance cost.
The part worth mentioning
The family wanted to keep several pieces of furniture. Rather than leave them to arrange a separate removal, we blanket wrapped those pieces the way a removals firm would, loaded them apart from the rest and delivered them to an address in Devon as part of the same job.
That saved a second booking and a second day off work. It is not something we advertise, but if you ask at the quote stage it is usually possible.
The property was left swept and ready for handover. If you need a clearance near Truro, Falmouth or Perranarworthal that takes in the outbuildings as well as the house, call for a free no-obligation visit and a written price.
