House Removals in Cornwall

Two men and a Luton van from £65 an hour plus VAT (£78 inc VAT). We are a Hayle based team who already handle homes every day as a house clearance company, and we now move them too, across Cornwall and all over the UK.

Prices

Most moves cost anywhere from around £60 for a small job to around £2,000 for a large house, depending on how much is moving, the distance and the access at both ends. Every move is quoted in writing before you book, with travel included and never added afterwards.

Boxes and packing materials, at cost price

We sell packing materials at cost price, so you are not paying a mark up:

• Boxes: around £2.50 each. If you are local, you can use our boxes for free and we collect them again after your move.
• Bubble wrap: £25 a roll, for ceramics, glass, pictures and anything breakable.
• Tape: 9 rolls for £5, 18 rolls for £10, 36 rolls for £20.

You can collect materials from us before your move.

Self pack or let us pack: you choose

Self pack (the cheapest way to move)

You box everything up before moving day. We arrive, blanket wrap the furniture, load, drive and unload. Ideal if you have the time and want to keep the cost down, especially if you use our boxes for free.

Packing service

We send a packing team the day before your move, or first thing on the day. Extra packers cost far less than the moving crew, so you are not paying full removal rates for someone to wrap plates.

How our packing service saves you money

Packing takes the most hands, but the move itself only needs two. So we might send three people to pack, then just two to do the move. You only pay for the extra packer while packing is happening, not for the whole day.

Example: a 2 bed house packed by 3 people in 3 hours (£85/hr x 3 = £255 + VAT), then moved by 2 men in 4 hours (£65/hr x 4 = £260 + VAT). Total £515 + VAT (£618 inc VAT), plus any materials. This is an illustration only; every move is quoted individually.

How it works

1. Get in touch. Call, WhatsApp or email with both addresses and roughly what is moving.
2. Free quote. We visit or do a video walk round, then give you a written price.
3. Packing. You self pack, or our team packs before the move.
4. Moving day. We wrap, load, drive and unload, and put furniture in the rooms you want it.

Pianos, hot tubs and other heavy items

We move the awkward things too, including pianos and hot tubs. Tell us about them when you ask for a quote so we bring the right people and equipment.

Moving and clearing in one booking

Because we are a clearance company too, we can do both jobs at once. On a recent job in Perranarworthal near Truro we cleared the whole house, loft and garage, then blanket wrapped the furniture the family wanted to keep and delivered it to their new address in Devon. One team, one booking, one price.
