Downsizing Clearance in Cornwall

Downsizing is different from a standard clearance. You are not emptying a property for someone else. You are making decisions about your own belongings, often accumulated over decades, in a home you have known well. That requires a different kind of approach.

We work at your pace. If you want to be there throughout, going through things room by room, we will work alongside you. If you want to give us a brief and leave us to it, we can do that too. There is no rush and no pressure.

Partial clearances welcome

You do not have to clear the whole property in one go. Many downsizing clients work with us over several visits, clearing one area at a time as decisions are made about what to keep, what to give to family, what to donate, and what to let go. We are flexible and will fit around whatever works for you.

What happens to the contents

Items in good condition (furniture, clothing, household goods) go to our resale and auction channels or to local charities. The value recovered is passed back as a reduction in the clearance cost. Items with no reuse value are disposed of through licensed facilities. On average we save around two-thirds of everything we clear from landfill on each clearance.

Moving to a care home

If you are helping a family member move into a care home, we can assist with clearing and preparing the property for sale or rental afterwards. We understand that these situations are often emotionally complex, and we handle all clearances with the sensitivity they deserve.
