Our most recent Newquay job shows how we keep costs down. It was a full house clearance of a well filled family home: a beamed lounge and kitchen diner, a conservatory, bedrooms and a large workshop packed with tools and equipment. It took a day and a half and cost the customer £1,500. Around £1,000 of that was waste disposal and £300 was labour, and what kept the price there was resale: tools, furniture, electronics, clothing and textiles all have value, and we sold a considerable amount.

Newquay also has a lot of holiday lets, second homes and rented properties that need turning round quickly between owners or tenants. Good quality furniture and household items from these properties can often be resold, which brings your cost down further.

We sort everything as we load, so far less ends up in landfill than with a simple skip and dump clearance.

Items of value recovered during a clearance (furniture, antiques, collectables, quality household goods) are passed back as a reduction in your clearance cost. In some cases, particularly where a property contains items of real worth, the clearance costs nothing at all.

What happens to the contents
